When it comes to fashion, especially fashion shows, there is normally a signature look/hairstyle that all models are required to wear. Yet during Milan Fashion Week, there was more appreciation for natural beauty and allowing the models to wear their natural hair, just as New York (and London) Fashion Week. There were a variety of hairstyles from buzzcuts to ponytails, and even untamed kinky curls making their way down the runway. Kenyan-born British model, Malaika Firth, wore her natural curls instead of the usual straightening she was forced to do. Check out some of the looks below…

Now some may argue that this change should have happened years ago, but when it comes to certain things in life, I would have to say better late than never. For me, this is only one of the many changes I would love to see in the fashion industry. But what I want to know is, what do you think of this change and what other issues would you like to see done away with?

Until next time…

Peace, Love, Blessings, & Hugs,

Freddie G.
