Wildflower

When you think of Phoenix, Arizona, what do you honestly think of? If you’re like most people, the desert is probably what comes to mind, right? And you shouldn’t worry because you are not alone! But who would have thought in the midst of that exists the Malbrough flower – Ambrosia Malbrough, that is.

Standing at a mere 5 feet, 2 ½ inches (or as she likes to say, 5’3”), she has a lot in common with her favorite plant: the cactus. Just like the plant, she possesses a strong spine, thick skin, and the ability to nourish herself from within. But unlike other succulents that need the sun to survive, she radiates her own light to nurture herself and those around her.

My first encounter with her was in a message forum of a social club we were aiming to be a part of. In the end, neither of us were accepted and a mutual friend started her own, so we became a part of it. At the time, Ambrosia was already on YouTube doing makeup tutorials. Yet most of her virtual success came between 2008 – 2009 after she transitioned back to natural hair and began doing hair tutorials. Most millennial naturals were looking to YouTube for information and inspiration, and her easy-going personality is what drew most people to her – so it’s no surprise that she has become a lifestyle icon. From makeup to natural hair to minimalism, she has conquered everything she has put her hands on.

One of her longest running enterprises would be her online boutique, Brosia Love, where she sells unique and exquisite items. As stated in a past article with her, she said:

Brosia Love consists of items that I love! [It] not only features my own designs, but also the work of other awesome designers that may or may not have the shine that they deserve…[also] things will forever be changing, keeping the shop fresh and packed with awesome work from wonderful people!

Just like her hair, she pulls off anything that she sets forth in doing. She’s a chameleon, yet graceful as a swan and as free-spirited and strong as an eagle, as she soars to new heights.
